Permanent Magnetic Chucks
Our permanent magnetic chucks are constructed using high-power ceramic V magnets. These chucks feature 3/8″ magnetic steel and 3/8″ non-magnetic stainless steel top plates that are furnace brazed together, creating a solid, durable structure. Permanent magnetic chucks can be drilled to specific depths, making them highly versatile for various machining tasks. The handles on these magnetic chucks are removable, making them easy to handle and operate.
Rotary Permanent Magnetic Chucks & Parallels
Similar to the rectangular models, our rotary magnetic chucks are designed to withstand the high torque of lathes, grinders, and other machinery. The top plates of these magnetic chucks can be machined to accommodate workpieces with unusual configurations or outfitted with auxiliary plates for added flexibility. Rotary magnetic chucks provide excellent holding power, allowing for secure, stable operation during heavy-duty machining tasks.
Rectangular Electromagnetic Chucks
Our electromagnetic chucks feature transverse (ECT) and longitudinal (ECL) pole designs that ensure secure and consistent holding power. The poles are made of magnetic steel and non-magnetic stainless steel, brazed together for maximum durability and watertight protection.
Magnetic Sine Plates
Our Magnetic sine chucks or plates provide a reliable solution for achieving precise angular setups. These magnetic sine plates are designed for quick, accurate adjustments. Simply reference the required angle, use the appropriate gauge blocks, and lock the sine for a precise setup. The high-power ceramic magnets used in our magnetic sine chucks maintain a consistent magnetic force, ensuring stability and accuracy during use.
In addition to their precision, magnetic sine chucks are built to exacting tolerances. For instance, the squareness and parallelism of our sine plates are within .0002″ to .0004″, depending on the model. Our sine plates and rolls are made of SAE .8620 steel, carburized and hardened to 58-60 on the Rockwell “C” scale, ensuring long-lasting durability and performance.
Rotary Electromagnetic Chucks
Rotary electromagnetic chucks are available in radial pole and concentric ring configurations. These magnetic chucks are primarily used in applications involving rotary grinders, lathes, and cylindrical grinders. Radial pole designs are ideal for holding rings and discs, while concentric ring designs are perfect for nesting workpieces. These magnetic chucks can handle a wide range of voltage requirements, with 110 and 220 VDC as the standard.
Grid Pole Electromagnetic Chucks
For general-purpose use on medium to large grinders, our grid pole electromagnetic chucks offer reliable holding power. These magnetic chucks feature rectangular pole pieces, providing uniform magnetic holding across the surface of the chuck. Grid pole electromagnetic chucks are ideal for holding larger workpieces that span multiple poles and are also capable of light milling applications.

ECM Machining style Electromagnetic chucks are ideal for applications requiring extra holding power, such as milling, shaping, and heavy stock removal.
Chuck Controls
Magnetool manufactures a complete line of Chuck Controls for operating electromagnetic chucks both round and rectangular. MR Series manual single step release for smaller chucks up to 110 VDC 300 watts. CC Series 7-step step down release cycle for 110 VDC and 220 VDC up to 500 watts. SD Series 7-step step down release cycle for 110 VDC and 220 VDC up to 7500 watts. All chuck controls come with variable power controls. These controllers are suitable as a replacement for Electromatic Neutrofiers.
