Trap the iron that damages your tools

Magnetool permanent magnet filters or fluid line filters reduce tool and work piece damage caused by ferrous metal chips, filings, and dust which get into coolant systems during burnishing, drilling, milling, grinding, broaching and other machining operations.

Installed on the return line, they prevent ferrous particles from flowing into reservoir and back to the work piece. Less down time due to tool breakage. More work hours between tool reconditions.

Cleaning sleeve assembly and tubes enclosing the magnets are stainless steel and never need replacing. Once installed in the coolant or lubricating system, no maintenance is required except for an occasional, quick, simple cleaning.

Alnico magnet material is standard. Neodymium magnet material is available for fine tramp iron (less than 35 microns) and weakly magnetic contaminations.

For efficiently handling greater volume of coolant, filters may be arranged in parallel as suggested here.

CLEANING SLEEVE ASSEMBLY

Model MF-1 Permanent Magnet Filter

Model MF-2 Permanent Magnet Filter

STEP ONE:

To clean the MF-1 fluid line filter, remove outer case, exposing cleaning sleeve.

STEP TWO:

Slide cleaning sleeve assembly down until clear of magnets. Trapped parts fall off.

STEP ONE:

To clean MF-2 fluid line filter turn handle at top until disengaged. Lift entire filtering unit out of housing.
